So few lab animals have a happy ending. Very few ever make it out of the lab alive. For those animals, their whole lives are a testament to how little people regard animal welfare.
However sometimes animals get a chance at life. When it happens we should celebrate it. Because if these animals are capable of having a happy ending why can't the rest of them be given a chance.

There should finally be an end to animal testing and experimentation. Until that happens we should at least give a happy retirement to the animals that have been used. I was going to say the "animals who served", but that implies that they had a choice. They didn't serve, they were used.
