Blind dog found after 7 days in the woods.

Sage is a beautiful 12 year old Labrador retriever and she is blind. One night everyone thought someone else had brought her in and on her own she wandered off.

The whole community was searching, but there was no sign of her. After 7 days it didn't look good. An off duty firefighter was out hiking with a friend when he found her by chance.

What a happy ending. Even after all that time out in the woods Sage was found safe and reunited with her family.
It couldn't have ended better.

What a wonderful ending to what could have been a very sad story. Sage is very lucky to have been found, but this man obviously pulled out all the stops to find her. Thank goodness she is back with her people again.

It was really lucky she was found. There are a lot of woods an trails and they couldn't cover them all. Without sight Sage would be hopelessly lost. She is one lucky dog. I bet she never wanders off again and her family will be more careful about bringing her in at night.

As usual, it was a firefighter who saved the day. Firefighters do seem to be the ones who rescue dogs under all kinds of circumstances.
