There is a humpback whale trapped in the ice off of Newfoundland. Everyone knows it is there, but it seems there is no way to free the whale. It is very sad. The whale is dying, but it is dying very slowly.

I am not there and I know nothing about rescuing animals from the ice. I know they do everything possible to rescue trapped animals. If they say they can't rescue the whale they must have seriously looked at the possibilities. It is just very sad to know there is a trapped whale, alone and suffering and we can do nothing to help.
This time the only happy ending will come when the whale dies and it is suffering no more.
