Video shows cruelty at Papanack Zoo
#1
There is little or no protection for animals in small non accredited "roadside" zoos. The standard of care is poor. Often the situation is worse than that.  Video taken in secret shows animals being mistreated. It is also revealed that zoo practices towards baby animals and their mothers is heartless and geared towards money making, not animal welfare.

Animal Justice is spreading the video around and they are calling for better regulation of places like Papanack, Marineland and Bowmanville, now reopened under the name Clarington Family Adventure Park.

There needs to be a minimum standard of care and there needs to be rules about what can and cannot be done to animals.
Until that happens animals will be mistreated in places that are only in it for the money. They see animals as a source of income and will continue to exploit them until they are stopped.

I hope people will stay away from such places and not encourage the continued abuse.
