Dear Willie. He will not be forgotten as the harbinger of Spring. Where he has gone it will be Spring all the time.
I am reminded of this beautiul poem by Shakespeare:
"Fear no more the heat o' the sun,
Or the furious Winter's rages
Thou thy worldly task hath done,
Thou hast gone and ta'en thy wages..."
There is more but I can't remember all the words without googling it. But that bit will do for dear Willie.
He reached a very good age didn't he?
