Moose rescue

A trucker in northern BC noticed something odd. When he checked it out he found a moose calf stuck in the snow.
He set about digging the calf out and pulling it free.

I had no idea so many moose had died on BC roads this winter. It has been a hard year for them. They are all struggling with the snow. The little calf is not the only moose to have trouble with the deep snow. It is just very fortunate that he was rescued in time. I agree, in a year with so many losses, saving one calf can make a big difference.
