Nature: Animal Odd Couples
#7
Polar Bears and sled dogs, who would have thought it possible!

Thank-you for your kind words Tobi. I guess it is a measure of our openness and caring when we have friends of many different backgrounds.
I have even had an eight legged friend. I consider the spider that lived above my shower to be a friend. We shared space. I was careful to watch out for her before I showered and when she laid eggs and then helped them hatch, she trusted me enough to let me watch. There were 53 babies. She is gone now, but she was fun and interesting.
Oxytocin! Is that what does it?
We should be adding it to our food and water. If it would calm world tensions it would be worth it.

I always thought guinea pigs would ease world tensions. They make soothing sounds and they just bring out good feelings when you care for them. Maybe they trigger oxytocin production in humans.
It would be worth looking into.
