Halfway Hounds...from kennel to couch
Halfway Hounds is helping transition racing greyhounds from their life in a kennel and at the track, to a new life in a home and on the couch. These are beautiful dogs and still far too many of them are being euthanized without ever having a chance at a loving home. Charities that rescue greyhounds and prepare them for a new life are trying to change this.

Greyhounds seem to settle into home life so well. They are such wonderful gentle pets. No racing greyhound should ever die because its running career is over. New Zealand is making the effort to change that, but sadly many greyhounds never get a chance.

I wish there were more halfway homes for greyhounds. Maybe more would be given a chance if there was somewhere to send them.
