Metabolic Bone Disease in Captive Reptiles
#2
Thank-you for your thread on Metabolic Bone Disease. It is very  thorough and informative.
Anyone with reptiles needs to understand this disease. It is the biggest threat to the health of captive reptiles.

Over the years I have rescued and nurtured a succession of bearded dragons suffering various degrees of MBD. Even with good care poor little George only lasted 3 more months. Henry did okay, but he was paralyzed from the ribs down. Right now Laura is pretty good, but she can still flip over on her back and be unable to right herself. I have seem some sad Chameleons too.

There are so many good reptile vitamin supplements available and very good UVB lights. It is sad that people fail to provide what their pet needs to be healthy.
