Animal Shelter evacuates before hurricane Florence hits
#1
You know things are bad when the shelter packs up its animals and runs to safety. They are doing the responsible thing of course. Any shelter is a vulnerable area needs to move their animals now! We have learned from past disasters that the unthinkable happens. Sending the animals to safety keeps them from danger and it also frees the staff and volunteers to see safety with their own families.

It is a scary thought that something this big and dangerous is coming. Hopefully the current shelter animals can move on to other shelters. As soon as it is over there will be new strays and lost pets who need help.

For now we just have to wait and hope that everyone makes it out safely.
