Pit Bull left tied to a tree
#1
This is a terrible thing. A young Pit Bull was left tied to a tree in the woods. It was just chance that some joggers heard the dog and got help for her.

I am glad the dog was rescued. I just can't believe how much she changed and became a happy dog. I also can't believe anyone would leave a dog like that. She would have died if the joggers hadn't come along in time.

It's a good job those joggers did! It's so good that they noticed her and that she made some noise. If she had got weaker she might not have been able to bark or growl.

I honestly don't know why someone would tie her there like that on a 2ft rope in the middle of the undergrowth a distance off the trail. How could they want her to die slowly of dehyration and starvation all alone??

I have been signing animal petitions that come into my email inbox regularly, and so many of them describe similar situations...only so many of them have sad and dreadful endings and the petitions are for justice for the poor dogs.

This little girl is very very lucky.
She looked in good shape and once she had decided to trust her rescuer, she shows she is a real sweetie! I hope all will work out very well for her. Heart

Clearly the dog was supposed to die slowly of dehydration all alone in the woods. It was the act of a cruel person. If they wanted the dog to be found they would have tied her along the trail or in a public place.

She is one lucky dog and I am glad she is able to respond to her rescuers.
As you say, so many other stories do not have a happy ending.

I doubt they will find the person who did this, but we can hope that what they did catches up with them. I don't think anyone who would leave a dog tied in the woods has a lot of close friends and family.
