Charity helps feed pets of US government workers.

I don't know how much you have followed the news. I don't understand how this is possible (Canada has a very different system), but the US government is in a shut down and their  employees are not being paid. That means a lot of financial hardship for people. When it comes to buying pet food, the money is just not there. Virginia charity, Winston Wishes has come forward with the offer to provide food for federal workers who are having trouble feeding their pets.

I am glad there is help in Virginia. It would be so hard to not be able to feed your pets. I hope charities in other areas are able to help out. It is hard enough for people to manage the uncertainty without having to face a pet that they can't feed properly.

Other groups are helping the US Federal workers feed their pets during the government shut down.

These are two more groups helping to feed people's pets. There are probably many others that we haven't heard about.
It is good to know that people care and are willing to help.

It's good that they're doing this.

I understand there are groups feeding the workers themselves too. It is hard to believe that a political systems allows one man to do this to his people.
