Toronto Cat Hoarder
#1
Toronto Cat Rescue volunteers have found a case of cat hoarding in the city. The woman had well over 100 cats in her home.
Even though they seem to be in good shape it is still not a good situation for the cats.

This is going to use a lot of the Toronto Cat Rescue's resources, but they will provide for all the cats. Half of them are already in foster homes and all will be spayed and neutered.

Sadly the cat hoarder was probably wanting to help the cats. When the numbers became too great it was too much to handle.
Some of the cats will need to be socialized before they can find forever homes.
It would have been better if she had turned to one of the shelters or rescue groups in the area. No one person has the resources to solve the stray cat problem in Toronto. It needs to be the work of all of us doing what we can. I hope potential cat hoarders learn from this and turn to the community for help when they rescue cats.
