Banning plastic straws

Canada is about to ban plastic straws. It won't come into effect until 2021, but at least the end of plastic straws is in sight.

England has done better than that. Plastics like straws will be banned in 2020.

It is going to take many years to remove the plastics that are already filling our environment, but at least we can stop adding more. Animals are still at risk from the plastics that are already in the environment, but we can gradually reduce the amount and some day animals will be able to live safely on this planet. A sea animal can eat something and it will actually be food and not a piece of plastic. We are moving in the right direction.
