Three little bear cubs rescued at Marineland
#1
Marineland has been in trouble before because of its bears. Back in 2012 the OSPCA  directed them to put their female bears on contraceptives because they were letting the males eat newborn cubs. Babies are not bear food!

So here we are 7 years later and a young staff discovered a bear had given birth to four cubs. She alerted management who told her to let nature take its course. In other words, let the males eat them. The staff could not let that happen. She used a net to fish the newborns out of the den. Sadly a male had already killed one of the cubs  but she was able to save three of them.
Now that they are safe, Marineland is caring for them and acting like they always meant to care for them

This is so typical of Marineland. They have a history of not caring for their animals. Now that we are watching them, they will look after the cubs and also find a way to exploit them. A brave staff that took chances and risked her job to make sure they were safe. Now that she is a public figure they will not fire her.

Anything that involves public scrutiny will be done right. When no one is watching who knows what they are doing. I doubt it is anything good.

As usual, when the story involves Marineland we can expect it to change daily until it becomes unclear what happened or if anything actually happened. I tend to think the original story is closer to the truth.

Whatever actually happened, the bears do not have enough privacy and space to give birth. Without privacy and security how can the females possibly look after cubs.
