You read that right. The squirrels in London are gathering discarded plastic to build their nests. It is kind of sad, but it is also interesting how adaptive animals are. There are less trees, but there is lots of plastic.

We may have made a mess of things, but some animals will survive. They will find a way to use what we have done to their own advantage. I suspect raccoons and birds will start using plastic too. Maybe they will even clean up our mess a little.
