Fishing line linked to wildlife injuries
#1
Fishing line is the real culprit when it comes to many wildlife injuries. Fishing line is often discarded, sometimes with the hook attached. Wildlife can swallow thw hooks. They can get their feet, wings and head  tangled in the line. In extreme cases the animal can't eat and will starve with out  help. That is where wildlife rescues and sanctuaries come in. They can take in the injured animal and free it, build up its strength and then release if back into the wild.

The ideal would be for people to stop discarding garbage like fishing lines. If it isn't out there animals can't get caught in it. Until people become more responsible we have the hard working people at wildlife shelters. They  can't fix everything, but they sure try.
