Carrol's Animal Sanctuary and Rescue--anual pumpkin drive
#1
Carrol's Animal Sanctuary and Rescue takes in various domestic and farm animals, some that are older or with special needs. They take in hard to place animals like pot bellied pigs. Every year they put out an appeal for left over pumpkins. They usually get pumpkins donated from the local community. This year people organized to deliver pumpkins from as far away as Toronto. They  ended up with 2000 pumkins. The sanctuaries 100 animals are now happily feasting on pumpkins.
They all love pumpkins.

I agree with the animals about the pumpkins. It is one of my favourites too. It is a fun vegetable to eat.  You can roll them around and play with them and when you smash them they make a fun sounds. Inside is all that delicious pumpkin and a lot of fun seeds too. It is good to hear about a  sanctuary that helps so many animals and to hear about how the people around them help them to survive and provide the animals with a yearly feast of pumpkins.
