A kind hearted vet always has a special treat for dogs that are being euthanized. She gives them some chocolate, a treat that dogs love, but are not allowed to eat.
She tries to make a dogs last moments special.
Other people have admitted to doing the same thing. They work to make the last moments good ones.
Sometimes the end has come and there is nothing more that can be done. That doesn't meant the end can't be a easier because of a treat.

I think this is beautiful. We have all had to say goodbye to a pet. It never gets easy. When we can do something to make it easier for the pet it at least gives us a happy memory in the midst of sadness. It is the rainbow on a rainy day.
