This is a complicated story, but worth reading. Leo was a rescue dog. He comes from Serbia and was rescued by someone in an Italian village. This is the 10th anniversary of the floods that created the danger where his person lived. Mudslides devastated the area. On that day they were driving along a cliff road.
At a certain point Leo stopped his person from driving further, seconds before the cliff in front of them collapsed and took out the road.
They were unharmed, but if they had been even a short distance further forward, they would have both been killed.

Dogs have good instincts. They hear and sense things we cannot. Maybe he could hear the beginning of the rock slippage. Something told Leo there was danger.
He acted just in time to save them both.
Now 10 years later, Leo is an old dog, but he is still going strong. His person understands a whole lot more over time, just how much Leo did for him. He sensed the danger and he acted in a way that stopped the car. It is fitting that he has named his hotel Leo's Lodge in honour of Leo.
