An eco-friendly, sustainable egg farm
#1
There is a farmer in Italy who has set out to run an eco-friendly sustainable egg farm. He buys his hens from factory farms and gives them a new life, free roaming on his farm. They eat natural food, under natural light. They live out their lives in peace as part of a chicken social group. He has hens and roosters interacting normally. The farm is part of the environment and is sustainable, unlike factory farms.

This chicken farm is proof that farming can be eco-friendly. Chickens can lay eggs and live normal lives.
For the sake of the environment, this is the direction that farming needs to go. Even our vegetable farms are hard on the environment and not really sustainable.
There is a concern that sustainable farming  would not produce enough food. However we waste too much of the food we produce. If we actually used what we produced we would have enough. A farm that produces less, but better eggs might inspire people to not waste the eggs.
We need to change how we use the planet when we produce food. This farm is a possible different direction. It would be worth a try.
