"Pet Detective" rescues pets from BC floods.
#1
Many people in BC were evacuated quickly because the water was rising. That left many pets in their homes, alone with no one to care for them.
RCMP Constable David Feller came to their rescue. He used social media to find out where the animals were that needed rescuing. So far he has rescued over 100 pets, everything from cats and dogs, to fish and lizards.
At a time when people were stressed and worried, he brought their pets to them so they at least had some comfort.

Some of the pets would not have survived if David had not rescued them. Reuniting pets and people helped to reduce the trauma of the disaster.  This is a terrible situation, but knowing your pet is okay and even having your pet with you does help. They need many forms of help in the flooded areas, but first on the list would be rescuing pets.
