Crocodile trapped in a tire, freed after 6 years.
#1
There is a 4.5 meter/14.8 ft female saltwater crocodile in Indonesia who can finally swim free. For the last 6 years she has been seen with a motor cycle tire around her neck. It has been getting tighter as she grows. Attempts have been made to free her, but none were successful, until now. A new arrival in the area set his sights on catching her. Once caught he worked with some friends to cut the tire free. Once freed of the tire, the crocodile was released to the wild.

Looking at how big the crocodile is, I can see why they would have trouble freeing her. That is a big dangerous reptile to deal with. I am glad someone was finally able to save her. It was bad enough that she swam around with the heavy tire for years, it was also getting tighter as she grew. It would have been a slow death as her breathing would have been compromised. It is nice to know that she is freed and and free to carry on with her life.
