Latvian shelter drives to Ukraine to rescue pets

A crew of volunteers has driven from Latvia to rescue animals from a Ukrainian shelter in Lviv. They are hoping to get the animals out of the war zone to safety in Latvia. Hopefully some day the pets can be reunited with their people, but for now they will be safe.

This is wonderful. People all over are trying to make sure the animals are safe. Not only are the pets not being left behind, they are being evacuated first.
Let us hope that there can be some happy reunions in the future.
