Toronto Zoo vaccinates its animals against covid
#1
Toronto Zoo has started  a vaccination program for its animals. Many of the animals are trained to accept injections so there is no big trauma involved in doing it.
The animals are regularly examined, give blood and receive shots(sometimes vaccines). Treats and training are involved and it all happens very smoothly.

I am relieved to know that the animals are protected. So far they have kept the whole zoo safe. Some zoos have had losses.
It is about time the animals were vaccinated. All this past year the zoo has hosted human vaccine clinics. It is the animals turn.

Of course there are the usual group of anti-vaxxers kicking up a fuss and claiming that all the animals will die because of the vaccine.

I have had three shots and I am about to set up the fourth and I have had no side effects at all. (my job requires me to be extra careful because I work with vulnerable people)
I am sure the zoo animals are all going to be fine.
Now I wish we had a vaccine for the bird flu. It is spreading in various bird populations.
