Seven year old boy saves sheep from slaughter

A couple bought a live sheep, intending to slaughter it and eat it. There seven year old son refused to let the sheep be killed. He insisted they keep it as a pet.
So, they have kept her as a pet. The sheep is very docile around the little boy and he has a way with her.

What a wonderful child. He couldn't bear to see the sheep killed. He wanted her to live. If she stays with him as a pet then she really can live.

I wonder if he will grow up to create a sanctuary for farm animals. In some ways, he has already started.
