There have been a noticeable number of poisonings of dogs and wildlife in Cleethorpes. It is believed that winter car care products are to blame.

If this is happening in Cleethorpes, it is probably happening elsewhere. Anywhere that people use de-icers and antifreeze, animals are at risk unless they are very careful. Antifreeze has a sweet taste and dogs will drink it. It is even a danger if you do not store the product safely in your own home. This is a winter hazard that we all need to be aware of and take precautions about. No one wants to see an animal die of poison. If we are more careful these deaths can be prevented.
