Lost parrot talks his way home

A beautiful Solomon Island parrot named Tiki got out one day when the door was open. For three days his people searched for him. Meanwhile after a three day adventure, Tiki decided he wanted to go home. He flew up to some people on their deck and started talking to them.
They posted his picture online and had a reply right away. Tiki's people came and got him and he is now happily at home.

Parrots are clever. I have known a number of lost parrots who made it home because they approached people for help.
Years ago a parrot got out and flew to a woman who knew what he was. She took him home and dropped by the local pet store to tell them she found a parrot. She left her phone number.
Fifteen minutes later a woman came in very upset because she lost her parrot. A quick phone call was made and the woman who found the bird brought it over and there was a happy reunion of parrot and person. I was there and it was beautiful to see them get back together. Parrots know how to get help when they need it.
