Hugo the dog is fine

This is a really odd post. Someone targeted the owners of Hugo the dog and claimed they are abusing him.
They have put up posters listing the families address. The police have received multiple calls about the dog.
Yes they did have to investigate. The police, the city and the SPCA are all satisfied that Hugo is fine.
There is no abuse and they have been unable to determine who did this and why.
It is to the point where police had to be stationed at the family home because people were showing up angry and confrontational.

This is a case of mischief and a particularly nasty one. I can't imagine what it is like for the family. I doubt they can take Hugo on a walk without trouble.
You really have to wonder why anyone would do this. Was it a case of mistaken identity.  Who knows. I just hope it goes back to normal for Hugo and his family.
