When the Rubber Meets the Road
#1
When the Rubber Meets the Road is an art piece made of old tires and it represents a dead crow. Crows clean up road kill and then they sometimes become road kill themselves. Using old tires to represent that is brilliant. It sends a message about our garbage and its impact on animals.

It really does look like a dead crow. Seeing it as a pile of garbage is not a wrong interpretation of the piece. It is a pile of garbage, in particular, discarded tires. It also looks like a dead crow. It will be interesting to see if the reaction stays the same or will people come to love the crow. Will it change how they feel about real crows. Will it bring them to reflect on their impact on nature.
The reaction it is getting so far is powerful.
