Over 500,000 live calves and lambs shipped to Israel this year.

Over 500,000 live calves and lambs shipped so far this year. They are brought into Israel to be fattened for slaughter.
The conditions they endure during shipping are appalling. The whole process is rife with animal cruelty. Animals lie in their own waste products. They frequently lack food and water. The temperatures are extreme.
Even though bills are introduced to stop live shipments, they never quite make it. The cruelty goes on.

Israel is just one country that brings in live shipments. There are other countries doing the same, under the same conditions.
Every year thousands of young animals suffer horribly in transit and then they are killed. Some of them are killed inhumanely.
We know this is wrong. Why have we been unable to stop it?
