Beak shape determines what nesting material birds use
#1
A team at the University of Bristol and the University of St Andrews studied data on nest material from 6000 species of birds.
They found a correlation between beak dimensions and the nest material used. They want to do further study to understand how birds use their beaks and
how this correlation evolved.

This is interesting and I never really thought about it. Birds use their beaks the way we use hands. What they would be able to handle would depend on the size and shape of the beak. It will be interesting to hear what else they learn about birds in future.
