Chile animal shelter gives hope to wildlife

Refugio Animal Cascada on the outskirts of Santiago is a sanctuary for wildlife. There have been a number of natural disasters, droughts, fires and floods that have displaced and injured wildlife. Whole habitats have been lost. The goal is to rehabilitate and release. If the animal can't be released it can be cared for.
The shelter has been there 20 years, This summer they opened a new wing

Now more than ever there is need for a refuge like this. There are so many natural disasters. Animals cannot recover on their own.
