Shelter dog saved at the last minute

Darla is a shy golden retriever. She was being wheeled down the hall to be euthanized when people from Austin Pets Alive arrived.
They took her right away and saved her life. Now they just need to work with her to teach her how to be a happy dog.
She is only 8 months old and deserves to have her whole life ahead of  her.
Space was found for her in  Denver shelter and she is actually in a foster home.

Maybe when Darla is safe in a happy home she will blossom into the beautiful dog she could be.
Just being away from a shelter situation will make a big difference. She is a lucky dog.
If Austin Pets Alive had arrived on a different day or even a little later, Darla would not still be alive.
