Moving a pet cemetary
#1
The Oakville Milton Humane Society in Ontario is moving because they need more space. The shelter looks after a local pet cemetery and they will be taking it with them. They have arranged for students in the University of Toronto Forensics Science Program to do the excavating. There are about 500 graves to be moved. They will be set up properly at the new location when the time comes for the move. Until they the remains will be stored.

This shows a real respect for people and their pets. People wanted to honor and remember their pets when they buried them. The cemetery opened in 1953 so some of the pet owners may be gone. It matters that we still respect the remains of their pets.
