Tarantulas rescued at Edmonton Airport.

An alert Canadian Border Service Agency staff rescued two tarantulas. They were being illegally shipped under dangerous, inhumane conditions.
It is fortunate that they were found uninjured. Tarantulas are fragile. They were stuffed inside zip-lock bags inside children's toys.

Tarantulas can feel fear and pain. They would have been frightened and uncomfortable. Think what it would be like for an animal to be stuffed in a bag and that bag hidden in a small space inside a toy. It is not okay to treat any creature like this, even a tarantula.
