Marineland Ontario, a place where whales go to die
#1
Since 2019, 14 whales and a dolphin have died at Marineland. Thirteen were Beluga Whales and one was Kiska, the Orca. They lived lonely miserable lives is circumstances that did not meet their needs. They have been inspected many times and animals were found to be in distress. They were ordered to make changes, but so far nothing. The only change seems to be the animals have died.

Why do they keep getting away with this. There is more than enough evidence that they fail to care for the animals.
They are really just exploiting them. Why aren't they stopped.

Their ad on the radio has the line "everyone loves Marineland".
I don't think so. I can think of 14 whales that didn't love Marineland.

Do the provincial authorities have the power to close it down, or are they reluctant to do so because the park brings in money?

I think you answered your own question. There have been so many charges against them, but they keep on going.
They are a popular tourist site.
