Why do cats loaf?
#1
The term loaf refers to a cat that all its feet tucked under it. When they do that they look like a loaf of bread.
They also look so cute. The theory is that a cat the loafs is feeling safe, comfortable and content. With the feet tucked under, a cat is not prepared to run or defend itself. It feels safe enough to be vulnerable. When your cats sits and loafs near you, it really trusts you and feels good in your presence.

I love the sight of a cat loafing. It is sweet to know that the cat is feeling good.
I love the fact that they call it loafing. It is the perfect name.
