Pool noodles as window protectors

Dogs like to look out the window and their nails can do, a lot of damage to the window sills. One family came up with an idea to protect the windows sills.
They bought pool noodles. They chose a color that would blend in. They cut them to the right length. They cut a slit the length of the noodle and put it over the sill where it sticks out. It works.

This is a good idea and I can see ways where this could be used to protect other things from pets. It could protect wooden chair legs from a bunny who likes to chew. Any furniture could be protected like this with a pool noodle or something like it. It is amazing what you can come up with when you think creatively.
