Helping a senior cat hold his favourite toy

The cat has a toy octopus. This has been a favourite toy for 15 years. It is getting hard for the cat to carry it around. He is an old cat and not as strong as he was 15 years ago. So mom did a little work on the toy. The eight legs were stuffed with heavy beads. She took them out and used lightweight stuffing. The cat can now easily carry the toy.

This is beautiful. Mom is being sensitive to the needs of her senior cat and aware of the cats limitations as he ages.
That is a very loving thing to do. When we live with senior pets we need to be this aware and this sensitive.
As our pets get older they need us to to be there and they need us to respect their dignity. She did both.
