Rescued animals in Kosovo Zoo enjoy snow
#1
Bears and a lion have been rescued from tourist displays. The lion will be travelling on to South Africa  when it can. The bears are local, but they were taken from the woods as babies. They don't know how to live in the wild. They don't even know how to hibernate.
They now live at Bear Sanctuary Prishtina. When it snowed they went out to play in the snow. The lion had fun for a while and then he headed in to the heater provided for him. The sanctuary is run by Four Paws and is home to 20 bears. Four Paws does a lot of rescue work internationally.

It is sad that so many bears needed to be rescued, but it is fortunate that there is a group like Four Paws to do the rescuing.
I am sure the lion will be happy to head south to South Africa.
I wonder how you teach a bear to hibernate?
