American Cats: the Good, the Bad and the Cuddly

The movie American Cats: the Good, the Bad and the Cuddly was presented at Toronto's Hot Docs film festival this past week. It is an interesting and even funny movie about cats. It is also an expose about declawing. 
Declawing is an act of extreme cruelty that is done just to protect the furniture. It also brings in billions of dollars of revenue for veterinarians.
The amount of money involved explains why the practice persists. There is no doubt about its cruelty.

Sadly I couldn't get to any of the screenings at the festival. I will have to watch for other screenings to take place this year.
The movie is cleverly done. They package an expose about declawing in a really good movie about cat.
If it even convinces one person not to declaw their cat, it will have been worth it.
