Thieves break into SPCA shelter on Christmas day
#1
Thieves  smashed the window in the door and let themselves in. They took $800.00 worth of dog food. They even let one of the shelter dogs loose.
The dog was found unharmed. Two members of the community showed up and fixed the door, no charge.

It is sad that someone would steal from a shelter. They probably plan to sell the food.
It is beautiful that the community supported the shelter and did repairs right away.
Now they are at least secure.
I guess this is a sign of the times right now. There is a lot of theft happening and even animal shelters are not safe.

What is wrong with people,we're at the start of the fire season a local fire station was broken into and they stole $15,000 worth of fire gear mostly raised through donations as it's a volunteer fire brigade, those poor animals will suffer now from that.

I can't believe anyone would steal firefighting equipment from a volunteer fire brigade. As you say, what is wrong with people.

The shelter is struggling and now they have lost all that food. When animal shelters and fire brigades need security systems and security guards, there is something wrong with our society.

This is a more detailed article.

The thieves knew what they were taking. They took the big expensive bags of dog food.
They will probably sell it online.
