The Sato Project rescues dogs from the streets of Puerto Rico. They partnered with Wings of Rescue to send 133 pets from Puerto Rico to New York.
They were flown to White Plains, New York where were waiting to take them home. These dogs were all abused and abandoned.
There are over 500,000 stray dogs in Puerto Rico and all the shelters are over filled. The euthanasia rates are high. These rescue flights are their only hope.

It must be heartbreaking to have so many animals in need and so few resources to care for them. It is amazing what they can do. Each Freedom Flight brings life and a bright future to some dogs. You have to admire the people involved for rescuing the ones they can. They can't save them all, but they keep on rescuing.
