There are a lot of stray dogs in Russia. People do get bitten. In Siberia they have the go ahead for a cull. Eighteen strays were killed at a government shelter last week. Animal lovers are working hard to send the dogs to safety. They are put on a train and sent to where a family waits to adopt them. People who can't take a dog are paying for dogs to be transported for other people to adopt. There are still many dogs that need help and thee volunteers just keep on working.

Culls are so cruel. They don't give animals a chance. It is admirable what is being done to save dogs from being culled. Even if they can't save them all, they are making heroic efforts and many will be saved.
