Eating frog legs is driving species to extinction.
#1
Europe imports frogs from south east Asia so they can be consumed as frog legs. Most of the legs are eaten in France.
Between 80 and 200 million frogs are imported each year. This level of exploitation is depleting the frog populations.
Environmental groups are asking the French President to do something to protect frogs.

This level of exploitation is not sustainable. If it continues frog species will start disappearing. It is also not in keeping with the European Union's wildlife strategy. They are trying to protect their own wildlife, but are willing to destroy wildlife elsewhere. That is not alright. The situation has to change while there is still time. If not, they will not be importing frogs because there will be no more frogs. We all know better. Why do we still do things like this.
