Pet Emu killed by intruders.

McTavish the Emu was sleeping in his outdoor enclosure with 3 other Emus and an Ostrich. It was a warm night and it was their first night outside this year.
Intruders approached the fence and McTavish approached. They brutally killed him.
They do have the intruders  on video and the police are investigating. If caught it could mean 5 years in jail.
McTavish deserves no less than that.

I hope they catch them. I would be thrilled to do jury duty on this case.
It is terrible that our pets are not safe in their own homes. The birds were in their own enclosure, minding their own business.
Just being on the property was trespassing. The brutal killing of the emu was outrageous. What kind of people would do a thing like that.
I really hope they catch them.
