Happy Birthday Fatou, the world's oldest Gorilla

Fatou the Gorilla is turning 67 years old. She came to Berlin Zoo in 1959 at two years old. She is the oldest zoo gorilla and likely the oldest living gorilla in the world. At her age she prefers to live alone in her own quarters, away from the other gorillas. As a pre-birthday treat she was given a fancy fruit and vegetable  platter.

Fatou is definitely a dignified older lady. When you look at her eating, she knows what she likes.
It is nice that she is having quiet older years enjoying what she likes in her own place. Happy Birthday Fatou. All the best in the year ahead.
