The Toronto Eagles have hatched
#1
Bald Eagles nearly went extinct in Ontario, 50 years ago, because of pesticides. They have not been seen in Toronto in a long time. This year a pair of Eagles set up a nest in Toronto and were sitting on eggs.
The eggs have hatched!! There are two eaglets in the nest and they are doing well.

This is wonderful. We were excited to here about the nest. Finding out that the eggs have hatched is even more wonderful. Dare we hope that the Bald Eagles have returned to stay? Even if the parents are here to stay it is a sign that nature is recovering from things we did to the environment is the past.
