No Mow May---give the bees a chance
#1
The idea of No Mow May was started in England by a group called Plantlife. The idea is the leave the lawns unmowed so wild plants can feed the early pollinators. Dandelions in particular can bloom and feed the many species of wild bees.

The No Mow May movement has spread all over. Many people are doing this to help our local bees.
I would think that south of the equator it would need to be No Mow November.
Spring is a hard time for our early pollinators. We need them, but we often fail to provide for them.
Maybe we should be planting dandelions deliberately so they will be there for our pollinator friends.
